Bristol & Jimmy, the owners of all 3 MB titles – Jimmy in original MB and 2012 and Bristol in 2011 – will square off the 4th championship as well. Both fended off challenges from newcomers in the semifinals and will do battle over the next 4.5 weeks to determine bragging rights for the next year.

Rookies skizzow & abittner saw their championship runs end at the hands of grizzled veterans in the semifinals, but one of them will finish a spectacular first season with a bronze medal.

Danny

Doug is off to a fast start in round 4 with the second highest point total through the first two days (more on this later). Danny rebounded from an upset quarterfinal loss to take down Ryan in round 3 and move to this match.

JP’s playoff foray began with an upset of 5th seeded Chris in the first round and ends against 6th seeded Ryan in the 7th Place match. Ryan landed in the 7th place match following a tough road as he faced the #3 and #2 seeds in the past two rounds.

Greg and tonewil have performed to their seeds thus far with each losing their first round match to higher seeds before racking up wins in rounds 2 and 3.

mxknkl

After a stunning, last second 1 point loss to JP in round 1, Chris cruised past a mostly absent Bred in round 2 before losing to Greg in round 3. mxknkl lost a hard fought battle to Ryan in round 1, whipped MegaBot in round 2 and fell to tonewil in round 3.

13th Place

13

Bred

14

MegaBot

148

The nearly completely absent Bred won his round 3 matchup when a residual pick came through in the waning days to secure a 32-0 victory over completely absent NicCage. MegaBot defeated the also absent Mattyb22 in round 3, but has the highest point total in round 4 through two days and was the only user to correctly pick both the D-II Softball and D-I Men’s Lacrosse champions. He’s learning….

15th Place

16

NicCage

Mattyb22

Neither user has been around for quite some time so this matchup will likely end in a 0-0 tie unless one of them is enticed to return to fight for 15th place. Neither has scored any points in the playoffs so the tiebreaker will revert to regular season points, meaning Mattyb22 looks like the 15th place finisher in MB 2013.
