In the Atlantic League, Lancaster defeated Long Island 5-1 in Game 1 of the best-of-5 championship series. No points were earned Wednesday and none can be earned Thursday, but action will continue today in the Atlantic League while the Week 6 CFB picks and the Shriners Open begin.<\/p>\n

    Remaining Points Available<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

    Atlantic League – <\/strong>Barring rainouts the championship series, worth 32 points, will be complete no later than Sunday evening and be included in Block 2.<\/p>\n

    Major League Baseball – <\/strong>The two wild card games will be played Friday, adding a possible 24 points to Block 2.<\/p>\n

    CFB Week 6 Picks – <\/strong>Week 6 picks end on Sunday with the Montreal @ Laval CIS game, so the 16 points to the week’s winner(s) will count towards Block 2.<\/p>\n

    Shriners Open – <\/strong>The event that is overwhelmingly likely to decide Block 2 begins today and ends Sunday. As with other UvU events, the top 10 finishers earn points on a sliding scale from 80 to 8, with a 32-point bonus for anyone who correctly picks the winner. Thus, 112 points are possible in this one.<\/p>\n

    WNBA – <\/strong>The Western Conference Final between Minnesota & Los Angeles begins Thursday and would end Sunday if one of teams sweeps the other in the best-of-3 series. This would add 32 more points to Block 1. (Game 3 of the series would be next Wednesday and would put the points in Block 3 if the game is necessary.)<\/p>\n

    Note:<\/strong> Since the NFL Week 5 picks conclude on Monday, October 8, those points will open the scoring for Block 3.<\/em><\/p>\n

Unless the series does not conclude until after the Shriners Open on Sunday, Bristol will take a 14-point lead over Danny for the Block 2 lead with a Lancaster championship.
